At the Isle of Wight Bus & Coach Museum, Ryde, you cannot fail to notice the Southern Vectis ‘Vectis Blue’ school buses and coaches  parked at the rear of the yard. Southern Vectis, to whom the Isle of Wight Bus & Coach Museum are extremely grateful for all of their help over the years,  have leased this part of the yard for use as an outstation for part of its school contract fleet. The company also use this area as a base for chassis cleaning vehicles prior to them going back to the Southern Vectis Newport depot for preparation for MOT.

We kindly request that visitors remain clear at all times of this part of DSCF0013the yard, it can be very hazardous, particularly when chassis cleaning is in progress and we emphasise the point that visitors MUST NOT to stray into this area.

We hope these pictures ease your curiosity of how the school children on the Isle of Wight travel to and from School.
